Anniversary Fun

Tony, Heather, and I drove to Las Vegas yesterday. We dropped George off at the Hair Pet Spa for a day of fun and relaxation. Tony drove. It was a season 1 "The Office" marathon for Heather. I read my book "Lisey's Story" by Stephen King. We stopped at the Hoover Dam to stretch our legs.
We arrived around 3:00 PM and went directly to the M&M store. That store was packed! We could hardly walk around. Heather bought some M&Ms and some M&M lip balm.

After her purchases, we went to our hotel, The Venetian, to check in. It was a beautiful hotel and we had a beautiful room: king size bed for Tony and I, a living room with a sectional that had a pull-out bed for Heather, and a gorgeous bathroom. Each room had its own flat screen TV. There was a remote that controlled the opening/closing of the window coverings (Heather had fun with that).

Once we unpacked (such as it was), we explored the hotel for a bit, checked out the merchandise at the Blue Man Group store, and had really nice dinner at a restaurant in the hotel. Tony and I took an anniversary picture (see below).
The Blue Man Group show was so much fun! We sat in the second row and wore ponchos to protect us from goo that would fly from the stage. Heather's favorite part was at the end: from the back of the theatre, they starting unrolling paper towel rolls down to the front of the theatre. People would reach behind them and grab whatever paper towels they could and pass it to the people in front of them. By the time it got to the front rows, we were piled on. It was pretty funny.
After the show, we walked down the strip a bit to the Bellagio to see the water show. It was pretty cold, so I bought some hot chocolate. Heather fell in love with a stuffed singing dog that sang in Italian and looked like a gondola driver, so we bought her a souvenier.

We got an early start home so we could get ready for school/work. Tony drove. Heather continued her "The Office" marathon. I finished my book.

It was a great 23rd wedding anniversary.
